Aided by the NSA, Britain's GCHQ created a program called Optic Nerve, which uses facial recognition software to intercept Yahoo! instant messenger video chats. The idea is to catch the bad guys by identifying their faces. What the spooks didn't anticipate was that a lot of people use YIM to show each other their nude selves.
