Fredric Brandt, a celebrity dermatologist with high-profile clients including Madonna, was called the "Baron of Botox" for his pioneering deployment of the technique, which reduces age wrinkles but gives the face a flat, emotionless affect. After he committed suicide at his home in Florida, his publicist said he had been fighting depression, most recently triggered by the Tina Fey show on Netflix, "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," which includes a character that lampoons Brandt, played by Martin Short.
