A judge has ordered the New York Times to exercise prior restraint in publishing materials that originated with Project Veritas, the right-wing hidden camera organization. Newspapers and First Amendment groups are understandably concerned, but it's hard to take them seriously when they ignore, underplay or outright smear WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange, who is literally dying in a British prison awaiting extradition to the United States for espionage charges related to his journalism.
