Trump rode into office vowing to secure the border, yet ICEâs deportation of criminals crawls at a snailâs pace. Fewer deportations have occurred since January 20 than during the same period in his first term. Instead, armed ICE agents are absurdly chasing college students like Mahmoud Khalil, kidnapped from Columbia for protesting Israelâs Gaza war, which has killed over 50,000 since 2023. Yunseo Chung, another junior, remains at large. In 2025âs first 50 days, ICE prioritizes campus activists over cartels. Border security? More like political theater.
