Democrats were understandably furious at the Jan. 6th Capitol rioters who tried to subvert the result of the 2020 presidential election. Now, however, we know that Biden and the coterie of Democrats around him undermined democracy themselves, by misrepresenting Biden as being of sound mind and body, when they knew he was anything but. Recent revelations confirm this silent coup d'état, including a former aideâs admission that White House staff hid Bidenâs cognitive decline. and a new book that details how senior Democrats and media allies lied to remain in power. If the Jan. 6th rioters were guilty of treason and deserved long prison sentences for attempting to disrupt democracy, what should happen to the Democratic politicians and journalists who, unlike the Republicans, succeeded in executing a coup by deceiving the public about Bidenâs fitness to lead? They subverted the democratic process more than the Capitol riot.
